Alice E. Washington, 73, was a dedicated educator in the Denver Public Schools and a vocal advocate for HIV and AIDS education, especially among African-American women. She served as an Ambassador for the Center for Health and Hope, volunteering her skills for various fund-raising events like the annual Swinging@AIDS golf benefit ,and promoting an annual educational event for women.
