Herb Bacon
Swinging@AIDS Golf Tournament Honorees
The 2021 Swinging@AIDS Golf Benefit was dedicated to the memory of Herb Bacon from Grand Junction, Colorado, who died at the age of 90 after a struggle in recent years with Alzheimer’s. Herb was a truly great humanitarian and philanthropist. A banker by profession, he served since the Center’s inception on its International Advisory Committee, and offered assistance for our global programs. He helped to organize three Swinging@AIDS benefit golf tournaments in Grand Junction. Herb and his wife, Laura May, were generous donors to the Center. The Bacon Family Foundation has continued this philanthropy.Â
