Methodist Treatment Centre
Located in Meru, Kenya, the Methodist Treatment Centre (MTC) offers substance abusers counseling, detoxification, and follow-up care. Over 3,700 clients have received care since MTC was established.
Led by Dr. Catherine Mutua, MTC has six full-time staff members. In 2025 and 2026, MTC has expanded their men and women's dormitories and office space and opened an out-patient clinic for patients in the surrounding community. The Center for Health and Hope covers the annual salary of the Executive Director and one counselor on staff.
One of the Center's most impactful partnerships with MTC is the organization of free community medical camps, bringing essential healthcare directly to individuals and families who might otherwise go without care.

Three medical camps are planned for 2026 (February 18, July 17, and October TBD). Each camp provides comprehensive health services at no cost, including physician consultations, laboratory testing, HIV screening, mental health support, health education, and essential medications. More than 400 people receive care at every medical camp.
